Free Mudgee Training Sessions - Lace Up & Join In
TUESDAY EVENINGS
Every Tuesday at 5:00pm, we’re out on the soccer fields at Glen Willow for a session that’s anything but routine.
Park in the soccer grounds, meet us at the corner of the clubhouse closest to the car park and get ready to mix things up.
With a program created by Nick Kastelein Coaching, no two weeks are the same – think variety, energy and a great group to train alongside. Whether you’re just starting out or building fitness, everyone’s welcome.
Kids under 12 must have parent or guardian with them.
Before your first session, you’ll just need to sign a waiver, which covers both our Tuesday and Friday trainings through until the Running Festival.
FRIDAY MORNINGS
Join us at 6:30am every Friday at Walkers Oval and start your day the right way.
We meet in the car park before heading out for an easy warm-up, then back to the 400m track where the session kicks off.
It’s all about variety, with sessions designed to improve your fitness regardless of which MRF events you’ve entered.
Do as much or as little as you like – run, jog or walk. Build your fitness at your own pace, with others to help motivate your session.
Kids are welcome, with a parent or guardian required for those aged 12 and under.
PARKRUN
Mudgee parkrun – it’s you, it’s free, it’s a 5km run against the clock.
Every Saturday at 8am, starting behind Big W on Short Street. Whether you run, jog or walk, it’s all about getting involved and being part of a great local community.
Just make sure you register before your first run and bring your barcode along so your time can be recorded.
Prefer to do your own thing? Follow Nick's training plans
A huge thank you to Nick Kastelein for creating the below training plans for our 5km and 10km competitors.
Even for the shorter events, a training plan plays an important role in helping you achieve your running goals and remain injury free.
Nick, a former Mudgee local, is a professional triathlete and coach, he has spent the past 15 years training and competing in Europe and is a 2 times Ironman winner! So, with a carefully planned program, we’re looking forward to seeing more PB’s than ever!
